If you’re ready to buy an Apple Watch, you’ll need to consider the size of your wrist and the band options that best suit it. Most Apple watch band sizes will fit most people’s wrists. Of course, there are a few bands that are only available in certain sizes.
If you go to a physical Apple shop to buy an Apple Watch, then you can get your hands on the band and try it on to find the right size for you, but if you’re buying an Apple Watch online, you’ll need to measure your own wrist to pick the correct band size for you.
This sizing guide can be applied to different Apple watch bands to help you choose the best one for you.
In most cases, each Apple Watch band has a good range of sizes, and you only really need to pay close attention if you have a smaller or larger than average wrist.
The Solo Loop and Solo Braided Loop are particularly tricky to size, so measurements for these watches need to be accurate. With other Apple Watch bands you don’t need to be as careful, but it is useful to get accurate measurements to ensure a good fit.
Wrap-around bands like the Sport Loop are the most forgiving in both cases, and if you have a larger wrist, the Sport Band and Sport Loop may fit where other bands don’t. For smaller wrists, the Sport Loop can be tightened and it will provide a better fit than, for example, the Sport Band.
With any strap, it’s a good idea to try it on at an Apple retail shop if you can so you can get an idea of the different materials and how they feel on your wrist. This is particularly helpful with the Solo Loop and Solo Braided Loop, as the measuring tools are not accurate for everyone.
It’s the first step to measure your wrist size before buying an Apple watch band. If you have a cloth tape measure on hand, you can wrap it around your wrist to get your wrist size, then to choose the best Apple watch band fit you. Don’t have a cloth tape measure? Use a string, wrap it around your wrist and measure the length of the string.
Make sure the string and measuring tape you use is not stretchy to avoid an error in measurement. If you don’t have string and measuring tape, then you can use any string-shape things, like cutting a piece of paper into a strip. When doing these measurements, make sure the tape measure, string, or paper is fit tightly to your wrist and that it is not sliding around.
If your rule or measuring tape is in inches and centimeters, you may need to convert the measurement to millimeters because almost all of the Apple watch bands use millimeters as sizing guidelines. Siri can provide a quick conversion for you if you need it.
Apple offers the Apple Watch Series 7 in 41mm and 45mm size casing sizes, the Apple Watch 6, 5, 4, SE in 40 and 44mm size options and Apple Watch 3,2,1 in 38 and 42mm. The first step in choosing an Apple Watch band is to select the right-sized Apple Watch.
Those with smaller wrists will want to opt for the smaller Apple Watch options, while larger wrists will need the bigger models. The 40/41mm Apple Watch models are designed to fit wrists sized 130 to 200mm, while the 44/45mm Apple Watch models are sized to fit wrists between 140 and 220mm.

Made from a stainless steel alloy, the Link Bracelet is with a link design that looks similar to a luxury watch band. It is Adepoy’s most expensive band because the raw material is expensive, the production process is difficult and it is easy to rust. Sizing can only be adjusted by removing links, so there’s less flexibility with the Link Bracelet than with other bands.
Sizing on the Link Bracelet starts at 135mm so it’s a bit bigger than some other Apple Watch bands, and it maxes out at 200mm, so the size range is smaller than other options. Because of the way it fits, you’re going to want to make sure you’re right within the size measurements listed below.
